Can anyone tell me that how can I use FormIt in my Revit Architecture 2025. I have installed it but it's asking for buying it although I have a subscription of Autodesk.
FormIt Pro says that it is only available with the AEC collection, but even with the collection, I am told that I do not have access to it. I am signed in and able to use all the other AEC collection software that I have installed.
I've seen some great designs come to life and especially the workflow FormIt » Revit » Twinmotion was much appreciated. I would much rather see FormIt merge with Tinkercad (hint hint). Anyway, sad to see it go, but thankful for the good run!
When FormIt objects are linked or imported into Revit, the geometry won't be editable in the same way as CAD geometry isn't editable. You will need to make changes in FormIt and resend the objects back into the Revit project. What you will be able to do, is change the material properties of the linked/imported FormIt objects.
Autodesk has chosen not to integrate conceptual modelling tools into Revit which is imho an inefficient way of working, but introduced Formit over 5 years ago to bridge that gap. But if the only thing you can do within FormIt is extrude solids, sweep profiles along a 2d path and create segmented lofts, what is the purpose of FormIt?
We are Educational Organization and I already downloaded Autocad and #d MAx, Revit With Network Licenses for Labs. now I want to install FORMIT on labs but i didn`t find it lists on software for Labs its only available for individual , so any solution to get Educational license FORMIT for Labs
failed to initialize the add-in "formit conversion" because the assembly "c:\program files\autodesk\formit converter for revit 2023\formitconverterribbon.dll" does not exist.
